The Armstrong family's Castleton Banquet & Conference Center sits proudly overlooking popular and well know Cobbetts Pond in Windham, NH. The pond is named after the town's first minister dating back to 1722. Until 1986 the properties were formally occupied as a public bathing beach known as Armstrong and Duncans Beaches. Armstrong Beach circa 1940's

The Armstrong portion of the property has been held by various family members for seven generations. In 1972, George Armstrong purchased the five acre Duncan Beach site and combined the two beaches, which were occupied as such until 1986. At that time, it was the only privately ownedCastleton today public bathing beach in the state of New Hampshire.

In 1987 and 1988, Castleton was constructed and proudly opened its doors on September 14, 1988. Since opening we have been hosting wedding celebrations, ceremonies on site, baby and bridal showers, Birthday parties for all ages, Silver and Golden anniversaries, trade shows, seminars, Proms and many holiday parties.
